| Description: |
(Zea mays). A popcorn type developed by Glenn Thompson of Vermont in the early 1900s and featured in the Vermont exhibit at the World’s Fair. Plants 4 to 5 feet tall produce 4 to 5 inch ears that are often flattened and split at the silk end with purple coloring on husks and stems and pearly off-white kernels. About 90 to 100 days to harvest from seeds. Alternative spelling Bearpaw.
